getting started

Once you decide that you would like to move forward, we will schedule our first appointment and you will complete an intake packet via the client portal.

We will use your initial appointment to review the therapy process, talk about your history, and answer any questions that you may have.

weekly sessions

We will use the first few sessions to decide if we are a good fit and specifically nail down the treatment goals that you would like to focus on during therapy.

We will continue to meet weekly, review treatment goals every 3 months, and talk about the process, as we go, so that we stay at a pace that works for you.

My goal is for you to feel better, faster.

So, whenever you achieve your goals, we will reevaluate what you still need, how you feel about continuing, and when we think it would be a good time to stop therapy.

Therapy that Prioritizes Your Privacy and Autonomy

All services are self-pay and I do not accept any insurance.

I see therapy as a jointly-created process, so it’s important to me that you have the utmost freedom in how often you come in, what we discuss, and how we focus on the problems that are most important to you.

Opting for self-pay allows you to participate in therapy privately, without the restrictions that insurance companies can place on the process. This means that you can enjoy the most flexible, optimized experience that can be completely customized for you.

Some insurance companies allow out-of-network benefits, even for providers who are not on their panel.

If this applies to you, you may be able to submit a SuperBill to your insurance. This is a monthly, automatically-generated document with all of the information that you need, which may allow you to receive partial or full reimbursement for sessions.

You may also be able to use a Health Savings Account and/or Flex Spending Account or other similar cards to pay for billable services, if those funds are available. You may also be able to deduct therapy expenses from your taxes or count the total toward your deductible, based on your specific insurance plan and policy.

Consistency is Key to Success

Once we choose a weekly session time, that is reserved for you indefinitely, until availability changes, you have met your treatment goals, or you would like to discontinue therapy.

Since you will have a weekly spot reserved for you, you will be financially responsible for your weekly session, regardless of attendance. If you need to reschedule your session, you may do so within a three-week window of your original appointment.

Rescheduling is made easy, as you have 24/7 access to my availability via the client portal, so that you never have to play phone tag or be left guessing as to when you can get on my schedule.

Note: You are not financially responsible for any cancellations that are initiated by me or if you notify me about a federal/religious holiday that you observe.

Forms of Payment Accepted

You will keep a credit card on file through a secure site (Stripe) that will be billed the day of service, prior to your appointment. You may also be able to use a health savings card for session fees, depending on your insurance.

Each client will receive a Good Faith Estimate, so that you are aware of cost of services prior to receiving care.
